These beings became trapped in a dimension between dimension, neither Hell nor Oblivion but rather the space between spaces, a void of pure darkness, the Dead World. Demonic entities which existed long before their was ever light or life in the universe, beings of pure an unadulterated chaotic evil which was cast out when light and life came into the universe. Before we dive into the book, we got to dive into their 'ghost writers', a race of ancient and chaotic beings known by many names in many tongues but the most common of them all is simply THE DARK ONES. While I do not, currently, have any intentions of doing a fourth series in the Slasherverse, the Necronomicon and the Evil Dead franchise are part of the universe and I do have my own ideas within the origins of the book as well as tying up some of the gaps within the series while blending in some elements across the non-canon bits of the series as well as the Lovecraftian source material it was based on. So kicking off my return to the dark side, let's put on our reading glasses and read a little from the Book of the Dead. I'm alive folks and this time I have something for you guys in the horror department other than polls in my own Slasherverse variant of the infamous Necronomicon Ex-Mortis otherwise known as the Book of the Dead of Evil Dead fame.
